Thank you for your interest in The Solace Tree. Unresolved grief in children and teens can have a devastating effect on the individual and family members leading to problems in adult life. At The Solace Tree, we believe that all children, teens, and adults should have the freedom to express their feelings associated with loss in a safe and loving environment. Through our peer support programs and educational opportunities for schools and the community, children and teens will learn to cope and adjust to the changes in their lives.
This is what you can make happen with a grant of $1,000 to $10,000. Our current funding priorities are:
- Provide educators and schools with training in grief support.
- Re-print for journals for families, schools, and hospitals
- Camp Solace for 50 children and teens during the summer. Your funding provides art, supplies, materials and meals.
